Example – Loft Conversion and Single Storey Extension
The architect emailed the plans [click here for example]
and asked us to provide calculations and structural details for the project.
The project involved the design of a loft conversion and calcs-online.co.uk were asked to provide engineering drawings to help show the structural proposals [click here for example]

These drawings and details were also required to be submitted for Building Regulations approval.
Calculations were provided for the new rafters, floor joists, timber purlins, timber trimmer beams and the steel floor beams.
Additional calculations were required for the single storey extension which included some steel beam and padstone calculations and a wind-post design.
